Lora Alaniz and Jennifer Beth Guerin work collaboratively, addressing the bed as a layered site of human interaction. With their mixed-media installations and video work they physically unravel the threads of the mattress and combine them with delicately handled and emotionally charged video, imbedded within the deconstructed fibers. Their work investigates relationships, intimacy, security, protection and the spaces in between in an effort to understand one's self and connect with others. Meredith Re'Grimsley's mixed media/fiber art and performances simultaneously invoke humor and prayer. Her work investigates the use, evolution, deterioration, and interpretation of the written and spoken language. Meredith Re'Grimsley explores underlying currents which influence our personal perception of conversation and body language
