Peter HappelChristian:
Brief Notes on Existence

Dinnerware Contemporary Arts is excited to present a new type of art event. In collaboration with local artist Peter HappelChristian, we offer a truly unique art experience. "Brief Notes on Existence" is a conceptual photography/ book arts/ performance art project that consists of the sweeping, collecting, and record-keeping of dust from both public and private environments. Once the dust has been collected, the artist prints photograms on cyanotype paper, creating a "cloud" image with a blue-as-the-sky background.

The final outcome is an archival one-of-a-kind book of your own clouds (dust). These books have been created in a number of private and public spaces, including the Center for Creative Photography and the Tucson Museum of Art.

For more details on how you can own your own "Brief Notes on Existence" handbound art book, please call the gallery or visit us on the web at www.dinnerwarearts.com.

See an example of the book at Tucson Museum of Art's Biennial Exhibition May 14th- August 21st. The Biennial was curated by Siri Engberg, Curator in the Visual Arts at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Peter HappelChristian's "Brief Notes on Existence" is one of forty-four artworks chosen out of hundreds of Arizona Artists.
